WUMe Freemasons

1. Location

We are located on the ground floor of Epworth Freemasons Day Procedure Centre , Suite 6 320 Victoria Parade, Melbourne East. (See Contact Us page for Google Map)

Suite 6 is next to the coffee shop.

 

2. Parking

Pay Parking is located underneath the hospital with the entrance off Victoria parade.
There is also plenty of parking in Victoria parade and nearby side streets.

 

3. Accompanying people and children

Partners or other support persons are welcome to attend your scan. Very young children are rarely able to understand all the images or concentrate for the scan duration. If they then seek your attention your own enjoyment and involvement in the scan may be diminished. Unsettled children may disrupt the concentration of the doctor performing your scan.

 

4.DVD recording

Many couples like to have a DVD copy of their pregnancy scan. This is available for the 12 and 20 week scans.
DVDs are provided complementary by the practice .

You will also be given a photographic keepsake of your baby.

 

5.Waiting time

We endeavour to keep waiting times to a minimum but will sometimes run late. Our staff will let you know if there are any delays when you arrive. Unfortunately, delays are an unpredictable element of our work. Some scans are difficult or complex, and sometimes we find an unexpected problem which requires more time to deal with. As we are a specialist practice, emergency scans will be prioritised.

If we are having major delays, our staff will telephone you ahead of time. Leaving a mobile or other contact number with us when you book your appointment helps us keep you informed. You are welcome to make a telephone enquiry near to your appointment time to ask about any delay.

We often have 3 doctors scanning and delays in 1 room may mean a patient in the waiting area may be seen ahead of you.

 

6.Reports

The doctor who sees you will perform the whole ultrasound examination, write the report and explain and discuss results directly with you. Reports can be printed immediately after your scan for you to take to your doctor.

 

7.Charges

Fees will be available at the time of booking your appointment. We are not a bulk billing centre. Payment on the day is expected. If you have a Pension Card, please present it to our staff on arrival.
